New Aadhaar App Launched With Face ID & QR Code Features
The Modi government has unveiled a groundbreaking new Aadhaar app featuring face ID authentication and QR code-based instant verification, aiming to make Aadhaar services more secure and accessible for Indian citizens.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw officially launched the app, developed in collaboration with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). The announcement was made via his official handle on X (formerly Twitter).

The Aadhaar app provides a digital alternative to physical documents, ideal for use during hotel check-ins, travel, and retail transactions. With this app, individuals can:

The app is currently in its Beta phase and is expected to roll out nationwide shortly.
