PL 2025 Schedule Resumes: PBKS vs DC Moved to Jaipur
The IPL 2025 schedule is back on track. After a short pause caused by a security alert near Chandigarh, the BCCI has announced the tournament will resume on May 17. This update includes the rescheduling of the PBKS vs DC match to May 24 in Jaipur, which had been abandoned earlier in Dharamsala.
What Led to the Pause in IPL 2025?
On May 8, a serious security incident disrupted the league. Pakistan attempted to breach Indian airspace near Chandigarh, leading to a sudden blackout at the Dharamsala stadium. As a result, the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match had to be called off.
However, after thorough consultations with the government and security agencies, the BCCI decided to continue the tournament. Their swift action ensured player safety while allowing fans to enjoy the remaining matches.
IPL 2025 Restarts with RCB vs CSK Showdown
To restart the season with high energy, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 17 in Bengaluru. The matches will now take place across six cities: Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the rescheduled PBKS vs DC game will be held on May 24 in Jaipur, replacing the Dharamsala venue due to security concerns.
