The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced the installation of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at its 15 depots across Pune. PMPML has faced criticism over the lack of functional surveillance, particularly on the Swargate-Katraj BRTS route, where criminal activities had surged due to non-functional or missing cameras. Unfortunately, passengers were frequently targeted at major bus stops such as:
- Swargate, Katraj, Deccan Gymkhana, Ganpati Matha, PMC Headquarters
- Pune Station, Khadki Bazar, Hadapsar, Shewalewadi, Marketyard
- Balewadi, Baner, Narvir Tanajiwadi
